Math and Science Breakfast

 

The Math and Science Breakfast has been sponsored jointly by the Fallbrook Chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and the Fallbrook Elementary School District for l5 years.    The breakfast recognizes the need for junior-high aged girls to be encouraged and acknowledged in the math science curriculum. The event honors approximately l8 girls who are selected by the various junior high schools in the area who show high promise as evidenced by their accomplishments in school.  At the breakfast, the girls and their parent are seated with a mentor from a variety of technical fields who share stories of their education and career.  After each mentor gives a brief introduction to the group, the featured keynote speaker will talk about her career and the choices she made etc. 

The breakfast is scheduled for April 21, 2012 from 8:00-10:30 a.m.  For more information or to volunteer, please contact Guity Balow, Math Science Chair.
